ANTILLECTUEEL, Antillectual going Dutch!
If “Antillectual” was a real word “Antillectueel” would be the proper Dutch translation. Inspired by a wide range of influences including Nederpunk bands like Seein’ Red, Mihoen, Antidote, Gewapend Beton and many others. But also by an artist like Drs P, polemic, dad jokes, word puns and ramblings in Dutch for over 40 years.
After expressing ourselves in English for over 20 years and with Dutch politics going crazy it felt equally exciting as necessary to write songs about what’s going on in our neck of the woods. Songs about local symptoms of global developments. The ANTILLECTUEEL EP will come out November 11 as a digital release and a physical release including an orange vinyl 7″ and an insert with lyrics in Dutch and liner notes in English.
