I Want To Leave holds 20 minutes of metallic melodic hardcore rooted firmly in the 00’s. Compact songs with fast-picked metallic riffs and driving hardcore rhythms sit alongside heavy grooves, bouncing breakdowns and more melodic, post-hardcore passages.

At its heart, the EP is about the disillusionment that comes with growing older. We were promised things would only get better. Instead, the future can feel increasingly like more of the same — work, consumption, isolation, inequality, political bullshit and the slow realization that so much around us is stubbornly resistant to change. The six songs approach that feeling from different angles: existential dread, mortality, consumerism, political anger, paralysis and the desire to escape. I Want To Leave gives voice to the frustration of looking at all of this and thinking: whatever this is, I don’t want it. I want something else. I WANT TO LEAVE.
